Every programme at the University of Amsterdam has its own entry requirements, application procedure and deadlines. Find out how to apply for a programme by following the step-by step guide in the application and admission section of each programme.
Due to the coronavirus, there were some changes to the application deadline for Master’s programmes. More information is available on each programme page.
For the transition from the Bachelor's phase to the Master's, the UvA has opted for a so-called 'soft cut' with some restrictions. This is so that students who, because of the coronavirus measures, experience delays in the final phase of their Bachelor's programme, don’t find themselves stuck in between a Bachelor's and Master's programme. You can find the latest information on the updates page on uva.nl/coronavirus.

All students who would like to apply to a programme at the University of Amsterdam will need to start their application process in Studielink, which is the central application organisation for Dutch universities.
After registering in Studielink, you will receive emails with your UvA student number and instructions for the next step of the application process.
After you have been admitted to a degree programme, you will be asked to pay your tuition fees. In order to be enrolled for your programme you must meet the requirements for each step in the application process.
The UvA also offers several European language Master's programmes, which can be found in the list of English-taught Master’s programmes.
