Online Open House

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, we are unfortunately unable to organise any on-campus information days or activities. Instead, you are warmly invited to visit the UvA online Open House, where every day is an Open Day.

Central Student Service Desk

The Central Student Service Desk is your first stop for questions about studying at the UvA. They will be able to assist you with any questions when it comes to choosing your degree programme, enrolment, financial assistance, and living and studying in Amsterdam.

Faculty buildings

The University of Amsterdam is not a campus university. The University's buildings are located all over the city of Amsterdam. Most of the buildings of the Faculty of Humanities are located in the city centre (see link below for more information).

Study association

Students in Media Studies at the UvA are active in the study association Off-Screen. The association organises parties and get-togethers, but also events in the field of media studies, such as theme evenings.
