This minor involves mathematical as well as statistical economics models. It is considered to be the science variant among the economics programmes. Mathematical Economics involves the modelling of economics processes and choices. Econometrics focuses on quantifying economic relations on the basis of data.
Transition to the Master
Econometricians and mathematical economists are much sought after on the job market because of their analytical and quantitative mindset. Once you have completed the Econometrics and Mathematical Economics minor, you will qualify for admission to the Master’s in Econometrics upon completing your Bachelor’s degree. However, it is recommended to add some courses for some tracks od the MSc in Econometrics:
